Touch NZ collaborate with NZ Sport Collective and Sky Sport

We are extremely excited to announce that we have recently joined a partnership with the NZ Sport Collective and Sky Sport to bring you the new ‘Sky Sport NEXT’ platform that has been created to house all of the NZ Sport Collective content.

The New Zealand Sport Collective is an unprecedented collaboration between more than 50 National Sports Organisations and rights-holders. Together, our goal is to grow the reach and engagement of all sports in New Zealand, inspire more Kiwis to be involved and reduce the barriers for young people to participate in sport.

Sky Sport Next is a ground-breaking initiative supporting grassroots sport and rising talent across New Zealand. As the Home of Sport in New Zealand, Sky is about all levels of sport, from grassroots right through to the elite.

Touch New Zealand CE, Joe Sprangers sees enormous opportunity for touch through this collaboration.

“We are excited to be part of this partnership. There is a chance to significantly grow our fan base by making the games available to a larger audience. It’s a fantastic platform to showcase our sport.”

Sky Sport Next will showcase more than 50 New Zealand sports codes and thousands of events that woudn’t otherwise be seen. The sports will all be streamed free for all New Zealanders to watch on a Sky Sport Next YouTube channel, and some content will also be broadcast on Sky Sport, Sky’s sport streaming service Sky Sport Now, and free-to-air on Prime.

Sky’s CE, Martin Stewart is delighted to have us as part of the Sky family.

“We understand the power of sport to inspire, to change lives and to bring communities together, and we have invested in Sky Sport Next to support grassroots sport and rising talent across New Zealand.  We’re here to help your sport to be seen and grow, and we can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”

This weekend’s Premier Touch League will be the first sport played on the Sky Sport Next YouTube channel.
