Touch Modules power the game - they bring Touch to life in our communities, and we’re here to help make it happen!

What is a Touch Module?

A Touch Module is your community’s local hub for playing touch - a series of organised games or competitions (social, junior, senior or mixed) delivered regularly at club level. These grassroots level modules bring together players of all ages and abilities - from schoolchildren and beginners to longtime social players.

How it works & who runs it

Touch Modules are organised and managed by volunteers, parents, club members or community groups who sign up as “Module Organisers / Coordinators”. Once you affiliate your Module with Touch NZ and your local province, you get access to official support - including resources, coaching support, referee training, scorecards, player registration tools, Module packs and a free online management system for registrations, draws, results and communication.

Each Module can run one or more competitions - for example, a junior module on Monday nights and adult mixed on Wednesdays count as separate competitions under affiliation.

Module Organisers - You’re the MVPs!

Across Aotearoa, touch is played through hundreds of Touch Modules, each helping deliver opportunities to play, coach, volunteer, referee, and belong.

By running a Module, you the heartbeat of the sport: building community, growing skills, developing players and keeping the spirit of touch alive in your neighbourhood.

Thanks to you, everyone can hit the fields and enjoy touch all summer long.

Keen to run a Touch Module in your area? We’d love to kōrero and help make touch more accessible and fun for all!
