The 2020 Premier Touch League will see the introduction of newly established Franchise, the 07 Heat. While majority of the squad are from the Waikato region, the Franchise also covers Bay of Plenty and Thames Valley with players also joining the roster from these areas.

07 Heat Men are brimming with talent with twelve players coming from the 2019 Men’s PTL Champions; the Barbarians. While the men’s roster boasts numerous Touch Blacks, they are joined by seven players coming off the back of the 2020 Youth Trans-Tasman campaign including MVP’s of their respective teams, Jordan Tuakana-Hudson and Oliver Foote. 

From internationals who have represented their country throughout the age groups, to exciting rising stars and a former Black Fern 7’s player, the 07 Heat Women’s squad adds strength and depth to this year’s PTL. Some of the young talent named for this season include Amarnee Shepherd (NZ U16 Girls) and Te Aomihi Paul (NZ 18 Girls) both exciting players with a high work rate. With the squad being very young, their experience and support comes by way of former Touch Blacks Awa Whitiora and Morgan Morrow. The squad will be looking to build and develop over the next 3 years.
